A number of speakers joined us to talk about their experiences and the typical challenges faced when working with data-centric products.
The key concept of the talks revolve around how people generally only hear about the ‘successful’ product launches (Marketing 101), when in fact, the most profound learning opportunities come from massive fails.
Also, as most would agree, it’s reassuring to find out that everyone struggles with very similar problems in their everyday lives.
3 key speakers discussed a number of topics ranging from the issues behind offering clients unlimited flexibility, ways to kill or save a project completely and then a panel of 4 female team leaders that discussed leadership, data, product management, team management, and of course, failures.
The talks were really well received and it was a great chance for a range of people with different working backgrounds to get together, network and have a couple of drinks and some delicious empanadas (from La Despensa in Berlin).
Our Tech Lead, Jakob (Koby) Shimony gave a gripping talk on the issues related to offering clients unlimited flexibility and talked about the different choices that were made to educate customers, restrict access to lower-level employees and reduce the amount of harm customers could do to themselves.
