Defining your loyalty program for commercetools

A loyalty program can be defined in a number of key areas, including point acquisition, point redemption, loyalty tiers, and special promotions. With Talon.One, these aspects are all fully customizable, integrating directly with commercetools and allowing you to find the most effective way to encourage your customers to keep shopping with you.

Point acquisition

With Talon.One you can set your loyalty program to reward points based upon any condition you like.

You could give customers a base level of points for each item purchased in your store. You could then encourage additional spend with extra points for every shop over a spend threshold, e.g. $100, or double points if customers buy additional products from the same product category.

Or you could create a rule that rewards loyalty points for each desired action e.g. Facebook likes.

Point redemption

Unlimited conditions for point redemption are also possible.

For example, $1 discount for every 100 loyalty points accumulated, or whichever conversation rate you choose. This reward can be set for the whole cart, or only for your specified products/services.

You could let the user choose a free gift equal to the value of their current points balance.

Or cashback can be deposited directly into your customer’s bank account via a webhook to your third party payment gateway platform.

Loyalty tiers

Talon.One allows you to set up separate tiers within your loyalty program. This enables customers to progress towards better rewards depending on the criteria you set. It could simply be point accumulation, or you could create any number of custom goals related to spend or other customer activity.

For example, loyal customers can be set as VIP and then receive better rewards accordingly.
