HipBar had an old system in place to deploy promotions which was tedious and time-consuming for their developers as it was based on a legacy code that required hard coding every time they wanted to launch a new campaign.
They needed an infrastructure for their promotions that could handle secure, dynamic discounts made via their in-house webshop system.
In addition, there were also many last-minute changes being made due to market competition and very time-sensitive sales activities which needed to be facilitated.
